XI century Already in the times of Bolesław Szczodry or Władysław Herman Czersk had wooden and earth fortifications.
1142 In 1142, the army of Władysław II the Exile met with the troops of Vsevolod II at Czersk. These combined forces invaded and sacked Mazovia, a district of Boleslaus IV the Curly.
XIII i XIV centuries The 13th and 14th centuries were the period of Czersk's greatest prosperity. It became a thriving centre of trade with Russia. It was then that a parish and a castellany were established here.
1233 In 1233 the widow of his brother Leszek the White, Grzymisława Ingwarówna, together with her son Bolesław the Chaste, were imprisoned in Czersk castle by Conrad I of Masovia.
31 August 1247 On 31 August 1247, as a result of the division of the inheritance of Konrad I Mazowiecki, the Duchy of Czersk came into being. The first ruler of the newly created ducal district was Siemowit I.
28 February 1311 On 28 February 1311 in Czersk Trojden I issued a document in which he titled himself Prince of Czersk.
1388-1410 The brick fortress in Czersk was founded by Duke Janusz I the Elder. The building was constructed in the period 1388-1410.
1406 In 1406, Prince Janusz I the Elder moved the capital of the Duchy of Czersk to Warsaw.
1526 In 1526 the Czersk castle became the property of Queen Bona.
1656 In April 1656, the remnants of a Swedish division took refuge in Czersk castle. They kept firing for two days, then blew up the castle walls and left.
